Maria Trindade Pacheco, 92, of Fall River, widow of Jose Pacheco, died Tuesday 1/4/11 at Crawford Nursing Home. Born in Ribeira Grande, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel S. & Maria J. Vilao, she emigrated to Fall River in 1966. A trimmer in the local textile industry for many years until retiring in 1983, she was a member of the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union. She was also a member of the former Our Lady of the Angels Church. Survivors include: a son, Leonildo "Lee" Pacheco (wife-Carol) of Swansea, a daughter, Maria L. Quental (husband-Ramiro) of Fall River; 6 grandchildren, Emanuel & Alex Quental, Anna & Jacqueline Lopes, Gerard Pacheco and Linda Mello, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great, great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Estrela Da Rosa, Jose, Laorino & Eduino Vilao. On Friday, January 7th, family and friends gathered for a Funeral mass celebrating Maria's life in Good Shepherd Parish Church. Following the ceremony, pallbearers Manny Quental, Alex Quental, Ryan Carvalho, Jerry Pacheco, Lee Pacheco and Jimmy Mello brought her to her final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
