Maria J. (Bonanca) Valentim 87, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday. She was wife of the late Jacinto Valentim, with whom they shared 67 years of marriage. Born in St Michael, Azores to the late Artur and Gloria (Medeiros) Bonanca.  Beloved mother of Joao (wife–Iria) and Artur (wife-Julie) Valentim both of Fall River, and Aldina Pimentel (husband-Carlos) of Somerset. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren; Michael, John, David, and Arthur Valentim, Kathy Francisco, Stephanie McCafferty, Elizabeth Moniz, Patricia, and Matthew Pimentel. Five great grandchildren; Briana, Michaela, and Aubrey Valentim, Aiden McCafferty, and Aria Francisco; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister to the late Belia Costa, Januario Bonanca, Manuel Bonanca, and Fatima Berg. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, October 21st, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
