Maria Vieira, 86, of 149 Tecumseh St., passed away on December 18, 2008 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Wife of Joao Vieira. Born in Lomba da Maia, Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Medeiros) Mota. Mother of John and Joseph Vieira, Mary Lou Braga, Grinoalda Botelho, Theresa DaPonte and Goreti Amaral. Sister of Lourdes Vidal, Jose Pimentel and the late Manuel Pimentel, Maria dos Espirito Santo de Sousa and Terezinha Rebelo.She also leaves 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Espirito Santo Church. Pallbearers Danny and Mathew Braga, Kevin Botelho, Timothy and Franky DaPonte and Joey Vieira brought Maria to her final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
