Marianna A. Pavao, 97, of Fall River, wife of the late Noel P. Santos, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the Catholic Memorial Home after a long illness.

Born in Taubate, Sao Paulo, Brazil, she was a daughter of the late Antonio J. Pavao and the late Maria (dosAnjos) Pavao.

She was an excellent homemaker and avid reader who loved cooking, baking, crocheting , and gardening. A devout Catholic and a person of high standards, Marianna instilled basic and practical beliefs into her children. She also enjoyed traveling to such places as Portugal, Brazil, and Canada.

She leaves: her children, Antonio Pavao Santos and his wife, Ana, and Jose E. Santos and his wife, Sueli, Terazinha M. Fugita (late husband, Sergio), and Milton A. Santos and his companion, Mariana Reis, all of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Maria L. Santos of Somerville, and Sergio A. Santos and his wife, Izabel, of Tewksbury, MA; sixteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren;, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Jose Jacinto Pavao, Augusto Pavao, Maria doCarmo Pavao, Bemvinda Pavao, and Domingos Pavao.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, January 27th, in the Chapel at the Catholic Memorial Home followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
