Mariano A. Cabral, 79, husband of Lubelia (Patricio) Cabral, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in St. Michael, Azores, son of the late Jose Vicente Cabral and the late Julia (Da Costa) Cabral, he emigrated to Fall River in 1955.

A master mason in the local construction industry for many years, he was a member of the Mason's Union Local 39. He was a member of the Academica Club, enjoyed attending and participating in local auctions and flea markets, and was a big Bruins fan.

Besides his wife, of 63 years, he is survived by: two children, Thelma Garcia of St. Cloud, FL, and Mariano A. Cabral Jr of Westport; one sister, Cristina Pavao of Calgary, Canada; seven grandchildren, Kristie, Mellissa, Raymond, Amanda, Destinie, Evan, and Nicole; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. He was also the father of the late David Cabral; and a brother of the late Edgardo Cabral and Jose Cabral.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, December 28th, in Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport, followed by his committal at Beech Grove Cemetery also in Westport.
