Marie D. (LaPointe) Bernier, 82, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 in the Catholic Memorial Home.  Marie was born in Fall River and was a daughter of the late Leo and Isabella (Bernardo) LaPointe.

Marie was a teacher's aide in the Fall River Public School System for many years. Ms. Bernier was a parishioner of St. Mary's Cathedral for many years.  She loved her family dearly, as she was their non-judgmental rock to lien on.

She is survived by: her 2 children, Donna Corvelho and her husband David, and David Bernier and his wife Maggie both of Swansea; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Rita Henrique of Dighton, and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Donald Bernier, Jr. and Susan Cabral.

Due to the COVID pandemic, Her Private Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, June 1st, in St. Mary's Cathedral followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
