Marie Cordeiro, 92, of Westport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 9, 2019. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was a daughter of the late Manuel J. Cordeiro and the late Maria (Almeida) Cordeiro.

She graduated from St. Anne's Nursing School and worked as a pediatric nurse for St. Anne's Hospital and, subsequently, as a Head Nurse at Pediatric Associates, both in Fall River. A devout Catholic, she was a member of the Music Ministry and Cursillo for many years. Marie also enjoyed baking, crafts, dining out, trips to the casino, and traveling with her family.

She is survived by her brother, Manuel J. Cordeiro, Jr. (late wife, Rita); her sisters, Alice Ventura and Marianna Dematos (late husband, Albert); and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Olivia Raposa and Beatrice Barboza.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, December 14th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
