Marie A. (Colaneri) Mello, 95, formerly of 29 Robert St., Tiverton, RI, died February 27, 2008 at Newport Hospital after a brief illness. Widow of the late Manuel Mello. Born in Italy, she came to the United States at the age of 7. She was the daughter of the late Felix and Govina (DiNucci) Colaneri. She was a member of the United Ladies Garment Workers Union for 50 years until her retirement at the age of 65. Marie is survived by her nephews, Francis Colaneri, John Colaneri and Michael Colaneri. She was the sister of the late Frank Colaneri, Raymond Colaneri and Umberto Colaneri. Her funeral Mass was celebrated at Holy Rosary Church and she was laid to rest at St. Patrick Cemetery.
