Marie R. Mello, 84, of Westport, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012 after a long illness. Wife for 61 years of Thomas Mello. Born in Fall River, she was the last of the five children of the late Wilfred and Roseanna Couturier. A retired textile worker, she was a member of the ILGWU. Beloved mother of Lisa Ferreira (husband-Jerald) and the late David Tetuan; grandmother of Matthew Ferreira, Anne Marie Donlon, Eric and Craig Tetuan. She also leaves 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service was held on Saturday, March 31, in our Fall River Chapel followed by her committal at Beech Grove Cemetery in Westport.
