Marilyn Vezina, 90, of Somerset, widow of Normand A. Vezina, passed away on March 8, 2024. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Manuel Rego Silva and the late Jenny (Zezutek) Silva, she was a graduate of Somerset High School, Class of 1951.

Prior to her retirement, she worked over the span of many years at various local area businesses, such as Firestone Rubber, Shelburne Shirt, Fernandes Supermarket, Edgars, and Service Merchandise. Marilyn enjoyed volunteering at the Somerset Public Library, and spending time at the Somerset Council on Aging.

She is survived by: two children, David Vezina (wife Mary Anne) of Berkley and Karen Sylvia (husband Aaron) of Swansea; two siblings, Anna T. Mullen of Swansea and Joseph Rego Silva of Rehoboth; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Bradford, Jessica, Caitlin, Bethany, Amanda, and Olivia; 5 great grandchildren, Avery, Skyler, Dylan, Braxton, and Ronan; many nieces & nephews. Marilyn was also the mother of the late Alan Vezina; and sister of the late Antone R. Silva.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, March 14th, at Our Lady of Peace Parish in St. Patrick's Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick's Cemetery all in Somerset.
