Marion F. (Lowther) Pineau, 86, of Westport, died Monday after a brief illness. She was the widow of Thomas L. Pineau, Jr. and was a daughter of the late John M. & Florence (Holden) Lowther. Marian was a Dartmouth High School graduate with the Class of 1939. For 40 years, Marian & Thomas owned and operated the former Pineau's Market in Fall River. She had an affinity for animals and greatly enjoyed her pets. She was the sister of the late Hazel Lowther Gifford, Gordon Lowther, Mitchell Lowther and Llewellyn Lowther. Her cremation was private.
