Marjorie Rose Couri, 79, of Riverside, passed away peacefully on Monday surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Edward P Couri, to whom she was married for 59 wonderful years. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late John and Rose Enos, she graduated from Durfee High in 1954. Devoted to her family and exposing her children to the wonders of the world and, after ensuring their college education, Marjorie went on to earn her Associate's Degree at CCRI.
Over the years, she worked as a buyer in the local women's fashion industry, managed dental offices and volunteered at Miriam Hospital. As an active member of the Riverside Junior Women's Club, she met her longtime dearest friend Claire Tierney. She and Ed enjoyed wintering in Florida and traveling on cruises or in their motor home. They were also long-time members of the Fall River Country Club. Loving mother of John Couri (partner-Michael 'Baron' Bartz), Adam Couri (wife-Christine) and Jennifer Couri (partner-Mary Kennedy); grandmother of "her Angels" Bella and Maxx; sister of Rosemary O'Connell (husband-Martin). She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Her Rite of Final Commendation was offered on Friday, April 3rd in our Somerset Chapel followed by her Pro-Burial Mass on Monday, April 6th, in St. John of God Church. Her cremation was private.
