Martha D. Masciarelli, 93, of The Landmark, died Wednesday after a brief illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Marietta (Ragnone) Masciarelli. Miss Masciarelli had been employed in the garment industry and was a member of the ILGWU. An active parishioner of Holy Rosary Church, she was a member of the Women's Guild. She leaves a niece, Ann Seery (husband-Stephen); nephews, Alfred (wife-Claire), Benjamin (wife-Durelle), George (wife-Sally), and Roland Masciarelli; a sister-in-law, Rose Masciarelli; and many great and great-great nephews and nieces. She was also sister of the late Aquilino, Dominic, Bertonio and Arthur Masciarelli and Lena Ricci. Martha will be remembered for her dedication to her family and friends, devotion to her faith, positive attitude, and independent spirit. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, September 30, in the Catholic Memorial Home Chapel followed by her committal at the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
