Martina Carreiro, 89, of Fall River, died Friday, at Crawford Nursing Home. Widow of Marcelino Carreiro. Born in Agua Retorta, Sao Miguel, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel R. & Rosa (Matias) Carreiro. She was a member of the ILGWU. Mother of Louis, Carlos & Veriato Carreiro and Isaura Bonanca, sister of Gabriel Carreiro and Maria Marcelino, all of Fall River, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Also grandmother of the late Christina Carreiro and sister of the late Manuel, Jose & Veriato Carreiro, and Fernanda Sobreiro. Funeral was held Wednesday, August 22nd, in St Anthony of Padua Church. Pallbearers were Luis Bonanca, Steve Bonanca, Franklin Carreiro, Mike Carreiro, Michael Carreiro, and Joseph Carreiro. Interment Notre Dame Cemetery.
