Mary (Miranda) Aguiar, 85, of Fall River, widow of Joseph Aguiar, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Joseph V. & Marianna (Raposa) Miranda, she was a lifelong resident of Fall River. She worked as a seamstress for many years with the former Stella Ann Frocks, retiring in 1982. A parishioner of Espirito Santo Church, and a member of its Holy Rosary Society, she was also a Child of Mary in her younger days. Survivors include: daughters, Kathleen M. Levesque of Fall River and D. Jane Pereira of Assonet; sisters, Dina Margarida of Westport and Lucy Nunes of Fall River; grandchildren, Kim Medeiros, Kyle & Julia Levesque, Ryan Pereira and Kristi Johnson; great grandchildren, Olivia, Allison, R.J., Jack and Nathan; several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Manuel Miranda. Her funeral Mass, celebrated by Father James Perry, was offered on December 4, 2008 at Espirito Santo Church. Committal services followed at St Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jason Nunes, Gilly Medeiros, John Nunes, Derek Johnson and Joey DeBrum.
