Mary L. Braz, 87, of Fall River, passed away September 9th, 2009 at Southpointe Nursing Center. Widow of Lionel C. Braz. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Peter and Mary L. (Bouchard) McElroy. A nurse's aide, she worked at Catholic Memorial Home and later St. Anne's Hospital. She was a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Name Church. She was mother of Lionel C. Braz, Jr. of Westport, Raymond Braz of Chatham, Linda Sinsky of Coplay, PA, Donna VanderHey of Swansea, Anne Marie Alves of Fall River and the late Richard Braz, sister of Thomas, William and Theresa McElroy and the late Peter, Francis, Alfred and Louis McElroy and Sarah Fraser; grandmother of Richard, Michael, R. Edward and Katie Braz, Thomas Wimer, Donald, Gregory, Michele and Victoria Sinsky, Robin Rounseville, Lori Doyle, Kimberly Carlise, Jeffrey Alves and Susan Braz-Martin. She also leaves 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews, and was great grandmother of the late Matthew Carlise. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Holy Name Church. Pallbearers Donald Sinsky, Jr., Gregory Sinsky, Thomas Winer, Jeffrey Alves, Richard Braz, Michael Braz, and Edward Braz brought her to her final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
