Mary Fatima DeFusco, 78, of Fall River, passed away peacefully Friday, September 10, 2021 at St. Anne's Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Lomba da Maia, St. Michael, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim Bento Rodrigues and the late Candida (Abreu) Rodrigues.

Prior to her retirement, she was a housekeeper at the former Crawford Nursing Home. A devout Catholic, she faithfully attended Mass daily and prayed the rosary. She enjoyed singing, walking, senior live entertainment, and bingo.  She was also a volunteer at the Catholic Memorial Home.

She leaves: her loving children, Patricia DeFusco-Cabral and her husband, Gabriel, of Somerset and Robert DeFusco of Fall River; her sister Mary Jo Clesius and her husband, Jeffrey; a maternal Aunt Maria Zelia Carvalho and her husband Floriano Carvalho, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Antonio Rodrigues.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, September 18th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Somerset Ridge and St. Anne's Hospital for their care.
