Mary J. Estrella, 72, of Westport, widow of George Estrella, on July 28, 2008 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Dimas & Mary (Borges) Cabral, she emigrated to Fall River in 1951 and resided in Westport for the past 40 years. Employed in the local textile industry for many years as a seamstress, she retired from the former South Bay Mfg Co. and was a member of the ILGWU (now UNITE). Mother of Ann Marie Menard of Westport; sister of Olivia Miranda of Fall River and the late Frank & Antone Cabral and Marion Lindo; grandmother of Kenneth Menard Jr. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Her funeral was held in St. George Church, Westport. Pallbearers Matthew Canejo, Albert Crapo, Todd Baker, Frank Cabral, Arthur Borges and Armando Amaral brought Mary to her final resting place at Notre Dame Cemetery.
