Obituary

Mary Felix, of Fall River, wife of the late Joseph C. Felix, Jr., passed away peacefully on December 17, 2022 in the comforts of her home with her family, she was 94. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Gil Rodrigues and the late Mary (Cabral) Rodrigues.

Known for her pride in her appearance and meticulously kept home, she also loved to cook, sew, and spend time enjoying Cape Cod. Her greatest pleasure in life was spending quality time with her children, her siblings and especially her granddaughter whom she adored.

She leaves her loving children, Gail Ann Gosselin and her husband, Ron, of North Smithfield, RI and Lloyd J. Felix and his wife, Filomena, of Fall River; her granddaughter, Lauren E. Felix of Fall River and her companion Bryan Sawyer of Bristol, RI; a brother, Joseph Rodrigues (late wife, Margaret) of New Bedford; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind the wonderful caregivers who helped care for her in her later years and have become "family". She was the sister of the late Anne Teixeira, Julie Mello DelToro, Adeline Aguiar, Alice Bigelow, Cecilia Materia, Patricia Vallancourt, and Gil Rodrigues.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated be held on Wednesday, December 28th, in Holy Name Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Salvation Army and St Jude's Hospital for Children, both charities Mary held close to her heart.

Family members are always grateful for relatives and friends wishing to make in-person expressions of kindness and support.
