Mary Irene (Furtado) Barboza, 90, formerly of the Flint, passed away Saturday after a short illness. Beloved wife of George "Bob" Barboza with whom she shared 61 years of married bliss. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Joseph R. and Mary (Guimar) Furtado, she enjoyed traveling and ballroom dancing with her husband. Sister of Dolores Pavao and the late Manuel, Jesse and Joseph (Jr.) Furtado. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and godchildren. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, December 3, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
