Mary Elizabeth "Betty" (Valton) Gardella, 67, of Fall River, wife of Richard Andrew Gardella, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, daughter of Beatrice (Medeiros) Valton of Fall River, and the late Joseph V. Valton, she was employed as a paraprofessional in the Fall River school system, and had also worked for some years as a nurse's aide.

She always enjoyed the beach, but her true passion was her family, especially her grandchildren, Hailey, Sophie, Brook, Harry, Allen, Ethan & Aiden, and her great granddaughter, Peyton. Also surviving her are: three sons, Dominic Gardella of Somerset, Jamie Gardella of Swansea, and Robert Gardella of Fall River; two siblings, Robert J. Valton and Kathleen Ouellette both of Fall River; and several nieces & nephews.

As per her wishes, she was cremated. H er Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, July 2nd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church.

The family will always be grateful to all of the well-wishers who expressed their condolences, kindness and support throughout this difficult time.
