Mary (Medeiros) Lamothe, 94, of Tiverton, RI, wife of Maurice Lamothe, passed away at home on Friday, July 25, 2025, after an illness. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Jose A. Medeiros and the late Ernestina Maria De Rego Oliveira Medeiros, she lived in Fall River most of her life. In 1993, Mary and her husband moved to Florida, where they resided for about twenty years – then moved back to the local area, living in Tiverton for the past ten years or so.

Working as a licensed practical nurse at hospitals and nursing homes of greater Fall River for many years prior to her retirement in the early 1990s, Mary loved caring for people. She especially enjoyed spending quality time with family.

Besides her husband, she is survived by: four children, Jack Getchell of Fairhaven, Gayle Dowd-Getchell of Tennessee, Manuel Rogers (wife Michelle) of Fall River, and Antone Rogers of Swansea; three siblings, Beverly Weston (husband John) of Tennessee, James Medeiros (wife Nancy) of Fall River, and George Medeiros (wife Pam) of Wilmington, MA; several grandchildren & great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by ten siblings Irene Lowney, Delfina Starkey, Deolinda Wulterkins, Diamentina Hiland, Hilda Levesque, Pauline Perry, Cecilia Machado, Joseph Medeiros, Maria Medeiros, and Lewis Medeiros.

Her cremation and arrangements were private.
