Mary (Arruda) Luhman, 89, of Swansea, widow of Wallace R. Luhman, died Tuesday 6/5/12 at home after an illness. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late August & Mary (Costa) Arruda, she resided in Swansea for the past 37 years. A devoted and beloved mother, she leaves: her daughter, Barbara Gahan, & son-in-law, Brendan Gahan; granddaughters, Karyn Leonard (husband Bryan) and Julie Benoit (husband Hank); 4 great grandchildren, Zachary, Cody, Payton & Jared; sisters, Lena Martin & Gloria Medeiros; several nieces and nephews. Also mother of Dorothy Charette; and sister of the late Dorothy Alves. Burial was private.
