Mary Fatima Martins, 58, of Somerset, wife of Gil M. Martins, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at her residence.

Born in Santo Amaro, Pico, Azores, she was the daughter of Manuel T. deMelo and Maria M. (Santos) deMelo.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Financial Analyst in the banking industry for many years. She loved cooking, shopping and gardening. Mary also very much enjoyed dining out and traveling extensively. But what was most important to her was spending quality time with her loving family, especially her precious grandsons.

Besides her husband of thirty-nine years, she leaves: her daughter, Valerie Ryan and her husband, Adam, of Dighton; her two grandsons, Benjamin M. Ryan and Patrick L. Ryan; her sister, Mary M. Santos and her husband, Victor, of Taunton; niece, Nicole Weaver; and nephews, Daryl Martins and Philip Santos, who was also her Godchild.

Following her cremation, Her Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, September 19th, in St. John of God Church, Somerset followed by a committal service at Nathan Slade Cemetery.
