Mary Valeira Mello, 94 formerly of Old Second St., died November 10th at Somerset Ridge Center. Widow of Theophile C. Mello, daughter of the late Frank Valeira Mello and Marianna (Cordeiro) Mello, she lived in Fall River for most of her life. Retired from the A&A Mfg. Co where she worked for 30 years, she was a member of the ILGWU and a former member of their joint board. She had been a Brownie Scout Leader and a former member of the YMCA. Mother of Beverly J. Kelly (husband Edward). Grandmother of Peter Furtado and Teddi-Lynn Haddad (husband Peter), step-grandmother of Karyn Kelly, great grandmother of Hannah, step-great grandmother of Kiana, Quinton and Kylie. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and was sister of the late Evelyn Pereira. Following her cremation, a graveside service was held on Saturday, Nov. 22, in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Fall River.
