Prior to retiring, she worked at Bunny Mfg. Co. in New Bedford, previously having worked at Berkshire Hathaway Mills in Fall River for many years until they closed. Along with her husband she enjoyed maintaining their flower and vegetable gardens. She was loyal and devoted to her family and will always remain an inspiration to them. She was the mother of Beatrice Mello Dupre (husband-Robert J.) and William Mello (wife-Jean [Gwozdz]) all of Westport; grandmother of Wendi (Mello) Francisco (husband-Richard) of Somerset, Christopher M. Mello (wife-Susan [Simister]) of Westport and the late Robert Joseph Dupre, Jr.; great grandmother of Tristan, Isabelle and Emily Mello, Devan and Richard Francisco and the late Dylan William Francisco; sister of Margaret Furtado (husband-John), Alexandria Viveiros and the late Mary Constance Pacheco, Silvina Terceira and Manuel, Joseph and John Faria. She also leaves 3 sisters-in-law, Lucy Faria, Irene Faria, Ruth Faria and many nieces, nephews and godchildren.
