Mary (Moniz) Miranda, 99, of Highland Ave. and formerly of Pitman St., died on Wednesday at Highland Manor Nursing Home. She was the widow of Joseph Miranda. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Mariana (Faria Souza) Moniz. Mary grew up in the Flint, married Joseph in 1957, and spent almost twenty years living in Somerset before moving back to Fall River. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and was a sister of the late Joseph Moniz, Manuel Moniz, Angelina Mello, Aldina Souza and Hortense Petrasso. Her Funeral Mass, celebrated by Father James Ferry, was offered on Friday (11/2) in Espirito Santo Church. Committal services followed at Notre Dame Cemetery. Deacon Thomas Souza officiated. Pallbearers were Richard Crossley, Kenny Petrasso, Joel Petrasso, Kenny Petrasso, Jr., Kevin Almeida and Jerry Lobo.
