Mary (Domingos) Oliveira, 88, of 2446 Highland Ave., formerly of Stetson St, widow of Ernest C. Oliveira, died Jan. 4, 2008 at Catholic Memorial Home after a long illness. She was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Manuel S. and Georgina (Domingos) Domingos. She was employed for about 30 years at Firestone formerly of Fall River and then as an assembler for a jewelry manufacturer of Providence for about 10 years until her retirement in the mid-1980s. A parishioner of St Anthony of Padua Church, she was a member and past treasurer of its Women's Guild. She was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans Women's Auxillary of Westport. She enjoyed bowling and knitting. Survivors include: son, Ernest R. (& his wife Nancy) Oliveira of Fall River; sister, Gilda (& her husband Ed) Sypek of Fall River; granddaughters, Kristin Connick and Melissa Oliveira; great granddaughter, Caroline Connick; several nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Georgina Mello, Manuel and John Domingos. Family and friends gathered at Silva-Faria Funeral Home, and then celebrated her Funeral Mass at Catholic Memorial Home Chapel. Committal services were held at St Patrick Cemetery.
