Mary Ruth (Cabral) Paquette, age 69, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Somerset on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Albert Cabral and the late Celina (Chaput) Cabral. A Fall River resident for most her life, she moved to Somerset in 1992. Mary was employed for many years as a health care aide with the Visiting Nurse Association, formerly located on Bedford Street in Fall River. Although Mary loved all animals, especially her constant companion Chihuahua, Holly, her favorite pastime was enjoying the company of her family and 'Peggy'. Surviving family members include a son, Albert A. Paquette, Jr., of Somerset, a daughter, Mary Agnes Paquette of Fall River, a sister, Florence Baldaia of Swansea, a grandson, Daniel Paquette of Fall River, her best friend, Margaret Rogers of Somerset, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Arthur Cabral, Edward Cabral and Genevieve Amaral. A wake service was held at our Fall River chapel on Friday, August 10 followed by cremation.
