Mary Quintal, 86, formerly of Kennedy St., passed away Monday after a short illness, surrounded by her family. Widow of Arthur M. Quintal, Sr. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Francisco and Mary (Simoes) Santos. An avid bingo player, she also enjoyed the Red Sox, gambling and spending time with her family. Beloved mother of Maryann Roberts, Snapper Quintal (wife-Gloria), Eileen Bastille (husband-Maurice), Irene Quintal, Evelyn Quintal, George Quintal, Nancy Cordeiro (husband-Albert), Diane Tobiaz, Joan Stanzione (husband-Horace), Lori DeMelo, Alan Quintal (wife-Judith) and Daniel Quintal (companion-Margaret Fournier; sister of Alfred Santos and the late John, Frank and James Santos. She also leaves many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, November 8, in Holy Trinity Parish Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
