Mary D. Sousa, 91, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Gabriel Souza and the late Clara (Costa) Souza.

A true foodie, Mary loved going to restaurants and eating out. At the nursing home she loved playing bingo and doing arts and crafts. She also liked going to the casino and playing scratch tickets. Mary was always cracking jokes and knew how to get people laughing.

She is survived by: a sister, Pauline Mello (late husband Jordan); a niece, Ann Marie Golding-Mello; a nephew, Timothy Mello; grandnephews, Jacob Golding, Ash Mello, and Connor Mello; and great-grandnieces/nephew, Raelle & Aislynne and Beckham Mello. Predeceasing Mary were seven siblings, Barbara Souza, Loretta Souza, Raymond Souza, Joseph Souza, Lawrence Souza, Alfred Souza, and Edward Souza. She was also predeceased by her grandnephew, Jordan Golding.

Relatives and Friends were invited to attend her Calling Hours on Tuesday, November 12th, in our Fall River Chapel. A private funeral and committal were held on the following day.
