Obituary

Melissa Ann Goodman, 34, of Bristol, Rhode Island, unexpectedly passed away at home on Thursday, November 10, 2022. Born in Fort Hood, TX, she was a daughter of Robert A. Goodman of Ft Myers, Florida and Connie A. (Fedash) Goodman of New Harmony, FL.

She was a graduate of Coyle and Cassidy High School, where she was a member of her high school volleyball team and was a class of 2010 graduate of Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing. She worked as a truck dispatcher in the grocery industry, at Stop & Shop for the last two years, and at Sid Wainer & Son of New Bedford for several years prior.

Melissa loved life and the people she surrounded herself with, but her proudest accomplishment was her children. Her light shone brightly through her disease of addiction, and after a long courageous battle, the Lord called her home. She had an especially strong support system that included Ryan Calcutt, Sr, the father of her beautiful children, and Marie Goodman, the wife of her father. She loved taking her children to the library, baking bread with them, and cherished every moment of being a mother. Melissa was a beautiful, fun, vibrant person who brought an amazing energy with her wherever she went, even when fighting silent battles behind closed doors.

She is also survived by her two children, Ryan Calcutt, Jr and Kylie Rose Calcutt both of Fall River; her two sisters, Lisa Reilly (husband Joshua) of Sutton MA, and Carolyn Goodman of Taos, NM; her niece and nephew, Ella and Michael; as well as; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Following a private cremation, Her Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, November 18th, at Good Shepherd Parish Church in Fall River. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Melissa's memory to support her children through this difficult time: https://gofund.me/f0f42ce4 .
