Michael R. "Bartch" Araujo, 76, of Fall River, husband of Mary Ann (Souza) Araujo, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025 in the comfort of his home following a long illness. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Daniel J. Araujo and the late Laura (Amaral) Araujo.

Prior to his retirement he worked as a contractor in the local construction industry for many years. He was also the owner of Bartch's Woodworking and Crafts.  He loved Nascar, fishing, cooking, and working with his hands, especially building custom furniture. Most important to Michael was spending quality time with all of his family.

Besides his devoted wife of fifty-four years, he leaves his loving children, Melissa Araujo Peixoto and Michael Araujo, II, both of Fall River; his sister, Donna Araujo Hastie and her husband, Charles; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Lucille Araujo Reis, John Araujo, and Daniel J. Araujo, Jr.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, January 23rd, in St. Michael's Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
