Michael Scott Costa, 36 of Frenchburg, KY, formerly of Fall River, died Friday, October 21, 2016 in Mt. Sterling, KY. Husband of Tammy (Gross) Costa, with whom he shared 3 years of marriage. He was the son of Alice (Pacheco) Costa Araujo of Fall River, and the late Daniel Thomas Costa and step-son of Joe Carlos Araujo of Fall River. Michael moved to Menifee County, KY this year, was a construction worker, and was raised in the Catholic faith. Michael was a quiet man of strength who took careful measure of others before making friends. Yet, once he trusted you he really opened up and shared his passions for life. Michael had many gifts; in particular, he was a prolific Disc Jockey with the music he loved and a computer whiz who relished the complexity of all things electronic. Michael also enjoyed his volunteer work for the Salvation Army in New Bedford. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Besides his wife and parents, survivors include; one step-son (more like a Brother to them both) Zachary Abernathy of Frenchburg, KY; one step-daughter Mary Abernathy of Fairhaven, Massachusetts; his aunt/Godmother Linda Pacheco-Rosa and an uncle Joseph Pacheco both of Westport;his precious pit-bull, Two Face; several cousins and extended family. He also counted best buddy Sam Shrewsbury and closest of friends Shane and Mitzi Adams and many friends from MA that he worked and associated with throughout the years. A visitation period was held on Wednesday, October 26th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by his private cremation on Thursday.
