Michael L. Gouveia, 61, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, son of the late Altino R. "Moe" & Amarinda "Amy" (Moniz) Gouveia, he resided in Berkley most of his life – moving to Middleboro, then Taunton.

A graduate of Bristol-Plymouth HS, he had also attended Dighton-Rehoboth HS. He worked as a security guard with Ad-A-Day for a short time. An avid fan of the Red Sox, Celtics & Patriots, he also enjoyed music.

He is survived by: a sister, Nancy A. Fairhurst, and her husband George, of Berkley; a niece, Melissa A. Travers, and her husband Nathan, of Berkley; and a grandnephew, Jack.

His funeral arrangements were private.
