Michael A. Grello, known as "The Great Dantini", 100 years old and a former resident of Swansea, husband of the late Grace (Russell) Grello, passed away peacefully at the North Bay Manor, Smithfield, on Friday, 1/23/15. Born in Fall River, son of the late Frank and Antoinette (Morelli) Grello. Though his passion for magic and performance led him into a long and successful career as a magician, he also spent years working for the Newport Naval Base delivering torpedoes during WWII. "The Great Dantini" brought joy, wonder and entertainment to decades of audiences. Mr. Grello is survived by his daughters, Barbara Parant of Walpole, NH and Patricia Picard (husband Bradford) of Cumberland, RI; 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also father of the late Dorothy Laliberte. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday January 30th in St. Dominic Church in Swansea followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
