Fall River

Obituary

Michael Neto, 59, of Fall River and former husband of Dawn (Moniz) Neto, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 12, 2021.  Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Francisco Neto and the late Maria Luisa (Oliveira) Neto.

Prior to his passing, he worked as a machinist for SUEZ in East Providence, Rhode Island, for many years. An avid sports fan, especially of the New England Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins, and NASCAR, he also loved gardening and cooking his children's favorite meals for them. He was also a huge fan of Seinfeld and Jeopardy. But most notably, he enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He leaves: his loving daughters, Alyssa Marie Goldstein and her husband, Joseph, of Smithfield, Rhode Island, and Jessica Lee Neto and her fiancé, Matthew Machado, of Fall River; his three grandchildren, Ayden Neto-Machado, Oliver Goldstein, and Brightly Goldstein; one sister, Mary Hedge and her husband, Ronald, of Swansea; his two brothers, Joseph Neto and his companion, Laurie, of Fitchburg, MA, and Gaulberto "Al" Neto and his wife, Rose, of Westport; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Manuel Neto, Manuela Neto, Luis Neto, and Carlos "Charlie" Neto.

His funeral arrangements were private.
