Obituary

Michael Edmond Racicot, age 57, of Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the beloved son of the late Diane (Pothier) McComb and Edmond Racicot.  He was also the stepson of Donald McComb, who had been a loving and dedicated father figure to him since early childhood.  He was predeceased by his stepmother, Rose McComb, who cared for him deeply.

Michael was a devoted brother to David Racicot and his wife Jennine Bacon of Glendale, Rhode Island, and Daniel McComb and his wife Rebecca of Fall River, Massachusetts.  He was predeceased by his brother, Paul Racicot.  He was a proud and loving uncle to Russell and Thomas McComb, whom he adored.

From a young age, Michael had a deep love for the water.  What began with a small speedboat in his teenage years grew into a lifelong passion, as his boats became larger and more refined over time.  Being out on the water brought him a sense of peace and happiness.  He also enjoyed fishing and spending quiet time outdoors.  He worked as an accounts manager with Delta Dental for over 30 years.

Michael will be remembered most for his selflessness and the quiet way he cared for others.  He had a remarkable ability to step in when people needed help, especially during life's most difficult moments.  He devoted himself to caring for his grandmother, Rita, ensuring she received the support and dignity she deserved, and extended that same compassion to his Aunt Muriel and other loved ones.  He consistently placed the needs of others before his own.

Michael took great pride in his family and cherished the time he spent with them.  His love, loyalty, and quiet strength were felt by all who knew him.

Michael's legacy is one of generosity, loyalty, and love.  He was the kind of person who showed up without being asked, who carried burdens for others without hesitation, and who left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
