Michael Phillip Ventura, 34, of Fall River, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Born in Newport, a son of the Jose Carlos Ventura and Zulmira (Benevides) Ventura of Arrifes, St. Michael, Azores, he has resided in Fall River since 2004, and had also lived in Westport for several years.

An auto mechanic who enjoyed working on cars for many years, at Rochefort Auto Repair, he loved racing and motorcycles. He also loved animals and enjoyed training dogs.

Besides his parents, he is survived by: five siblings, Maria G. Paes (partner-Brian Paul) of Fall River, Maria Cordeiro (husband-Luis Cordeiro) of Dartmouth, Americo Ventura (partner-Jessica Rego) of Middletown, RI, Gracie Arruda-Azevedo (husband-Frank Azevedo) of Cumberland, RI, Jose M. Ventura (partner-Valerie Mandeville) of Rehoboth; eight nieces and nephews, Andrew, Lance, Mitchell, Mikayla, Miles, Bella, Miranda, and Sofia; and a grandniece, Aryanna.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, May 7th, in Santo Christo Church followed by his private committal at St. Columba's Cemetery in Middletown, RI.
