Mildred (Rezendes) Mendonca, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 24th, at Sarah Brayton Nursing Center. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Diamantina Rezendes. She worked at Durfee High School, cooking and serving the lunches with a smile for thousands of students throughout her career. Mildred was a woman with style, loved the arts and her daily walks. She cherished, most of all, the time she spent with her family. Beloved mother of Cynthia Boudakian (husband Bradford), Beverly Ash (husband William) and Linda Mendonca; grandmother of Jon Silvia and William Ash, III; great-grandmother of Matalin and Nolan Silvia; sister of Gloria Rezendes and the late Edmund  Rezendes. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and was the former wife of the late John Mendonca. According to her wishes, her cremation was private. Her Memorial Mass was celebrated on Monday, February 19th at St. Mary of the Bay Church in Warren, RI. Her cremains were buried in her family plot at Notre Dame Cemetery.
