Mildred E. William, age 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the loving wife of William K. William. Born in Fall River on June 13, 1929, she was a daughter of the late George Hanson and the late Martha (Rothwell) Hanson.

A lifelong resident of Fall River she was employed as a CNA at Charlton Memorial Hospital for many years and was a communicant of St. Anthony of the Desert Church. Although she is remembered as a talented seamstress and excellent cook who liked babysitting the 'granddogs' and taking trips to the casino, Mildred will be remembered for what was most important, her family. She was a wonderful loving, generous and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

In addition to William, her husband of sixty seven years, surviving family members include: her daughter, Joyce Autote and her husband Paul of Tiverton, Rhode Island; three grandsons, Jeffrey Autote (Sherri Correia), Brian Autote, and Daniel Autote (Jessica McCauley); a great granddaughter, Kora Grace Autote; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Donald Hanson, Charles Hanson, Vernon Hanson, George Hanson, Marjorie Mroz and Janice Lewis. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, April 5th, in St. Anthony of the Desert Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
