Mitchel S. Jacobson, age 49, of Warwick, Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, February 2, 2015. Born in Hartford, Connecticut, he was the son of Evelyn (Cohen) Jacobson of Warwick and the late Sidney L. Jacobson. A resident of Warwick since shortly after his birth, he was employed as a teacher's assistant at the St. Mary's Home for Children in North Providence. A 1983 graduate of Pilgrim High School, he was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. Mitchel, a dedicated fanatic of Blue Oyster Cult, looked forward to attending their concerts whenever they performed in the Northeast. In addition to his mother, Evelyn, he leaves a sister, Rena Jacobson of Fairhaven, Massachusetts. Arrangements with the Silva Faria Funeral Home in Fall River, MA, were private.
