Nadia Godfrey, 76, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Bear Mountain Nursing Home following a long illness. Born in Dhour Shwier, Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late William Ataya and the late Rose (Karam) Ataya.

In her younger days, she loved to sew and created many of her own garments. Before her illness, Nadia was outgoing, very active and enjoyed socializing. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves her loving siblings, Noha Ataya and her husband, Antoine, of Fall River, Julie Perry and her husband, John, of Somerset, and Rosemarie O'Conner and her husband, Robert, of Virginia, William Ataya, Jr., and his wife, Michelle, of Fall River, and George Ataya and his wife, Brenda, of Maine. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Odette Ataya.

Her Funeral Mas was celebrated on Wednesday, November 15th, in St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church followed by her committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
