Nair Costa, 74, formerly of Andrew St., Somerset, died on August 29, 2008 after a long illness. Widow of Joseph Costa. Born in St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Antonio and Silvana (Resendes) Silva. She worked as a seamstress in the textile industry for 43 years. Mother of Leonard Costa and the late Joseph M. Costa. Sister of Alvaro Silva, Arena Mello and the late Mary Lourdes Resendes. Grandmother of Joseph F. Costa, Miranda R. Costa and Kristen Costa. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St. John of God Church, Somerset. Her committal service was held at St. Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers were her son Leonard Costa and Grandson Joseph Costa. Manuel Luis, David, Kevin, Luis, Joseph F. and Joseph M. Costa.
