Nancy A. (Del Signore) Maccarone, age 86, the widow of Henry M. Maccarone, passed away at her home in Fall River, Massachusetts, on Saturday, December 13, 2008. Born in Johnston, Rhode Island, she was a daughter of the late Seraphino Del Signore and the late Mariana (Macacch) Del Signore. After residing in Rhode Island and Rehoboth, MA, for several years, she moved to Fall River in 1949. Nancy was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church for many years. Surviving family members include two sons, Henry Maccarone of Tiverton, Rhode Island, and David Maccarone of Hudson, Ohio, two daughters, Judy A. Perry, also of Tiverton, and Maryanne Tolis of Yarmouth, Maine, nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Michael Del Signore, Nicholas Del Signore, Frank Del Signore, Mamie Del Signore, Jane Horton, Lena DiChiaro and Mary Adams. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in Holy Rosary Church. Pallbearers Michael, John and Daniel Maccarone, Jason and TIme Perry and Dorian Tolis brought Nancy to her final resting place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Fall River.
