Nancy J. Salamon, 70 of Somerset, passed away at the Somerset Ridge Center, after a 5 month battle with cancer. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Salamon, to whom she was married for 36 years. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Noel and Edith (Medeiros) Rapoza. Nancy was a graduate of Somerset High School and Bridgewater State College. She was a retired Somerset teacher who taught for many years. Nancy was a dedicated New England sports fan who loved to cheer on her teams. Her pride and joy was her family and the time they spent together, especially Sunday dinners. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Julie Berube and her husband Jason of Westport; Bethany Dombrosky and her husband Michael of East Bridgewater; Katherine Salamon of Somerset; a brother Ronald Rapoza of Somerset; a sister Debra Manning of Swansea; beloved granddaughters Isabel and Sadie Berube, many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, December 7th, in St. John of God Church in Somerset followed by her committal at Nathan Slade Cemetery.
