Nemesio F. Mendonca, 50, of Fall River, husband of Oriana C. (Pimentel) Mendonca, died unexpectedly, Monday, at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in Ponta Delgada, St Michael, Azores, son of Silvina (Ferreira) Mendonca of Canada and the late Manuel Mendonca, he emigrated to Fall River in 1987. Employed in the construction industry for many years, he worked with Newport Construction for the past 9 years, prior to that with Capeway Roofing, and was a member of Local 610 laborer's union. An avid soccer fan, he played for local teams, including Young Nationals and Fernando's Place. Father of Felicia and Natasha Mendonca both of Fall River. Brother of Dinarte Mendonca, his twin, of Fall River, Maria dos Anjos Costa, Aldina Camara, Frank & Maria do Rosario Mendonca all of Canada, and the late Luis Mendonca. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, July 27, in St Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St Patrick Cemetery.
