Nohemi Oliveira, 95, of Fall River, wife of the late Manuel R. Oliveira, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Kimwell Nursing Home following a long illness. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Verissimo C. Pereira and the late Marcelina (Carreiro) Pereira.

Prior to her retirement she worked in the cafeteria of B.M.C. Durfee High School for many years. An excellent cook, she very much enjoyed preparing meals for her family, shopping, and playing bingo. She also loved socializing, dining out with her friends, and volunteering at Charlton Memorial Hospital for several years. Most notably, Nohemi was a very clever, strong-willed, and honorable woman who loved her family dearly and instilled high morals and practical standards in all of them. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves her loving children, Stephen M. Oliveira and his wife, Sheila, of Westport and Joanne E. Souza of Assonet. She also leaves her grandchildren, Jeffrey, Alisha, Jacob, Maxwell, Ava, and Addyson.

Her Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, October 10th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Nohemi's memory to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude PL, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
