Nora Ayash, 95, of Fall River, wife of the late Elias Ayash, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 19, 2019 after a brief illness. Born in Pawtucket, R.I., she was a daughter of the late Shaya and Mary (Agatty) Shabo. A devoted wife and mother, she held family to be of utmost importance. Nora loved cooking, baking, and being involved in her church community. She also enjoyed playing cards in the church hall every Wednesday afternoon for many years. A longtime parishioner of St. Anthony of the Desert Church, she was also a member of its Women's Guild. She leaves: her son, Monnie Ayash of Fall River; a brother, George Shabo of Pawtucket; and a sister, Olga Dwyer of Worcester. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, January 24th, in St. Anthony of the Desert Church followed by her committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
