Norberta Frizado,77,of Fall River, wife of Altino Frizado , passed away on Monday after a long illness. Born in St.Michael, Azores daughter of the late Jose and Amelia ( Carreiro ) Carreiro. Norberta was a homemaker , raising ten children. She loved to cook and bake, especially malassadas, sweet bread and biscoitos. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed tending to her house plants. Norberta treasured the time she spent with her family. Besides her husband of 58 years, she is survived by her children, Altino Frizado, Leonardo Frizado, Armenia Amaral (husband-Jose), Ana Andrade (husband-Antonio), Graca Carreiro (husband-Manuel), Ilda Carvalho (husband-Francisco), Manuela Raposo (husband-Eduardo), Eduarda Albernaz (husband-Robert), Vidalia Carreiro, Elizabeth Cordeiro (husband-John), all of Fall River. She also leaves 22 grandchilden, 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Beatrice, Jose, Antonio and Amelia Carreiro. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, September 16th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by her committal at St.Patrick Cemetery.
